Ukraine's association of pig farmers has reported a record low in the country's domestic pig population, with a 11% decrease from the beginning of 2021, bringing the number of pigs to two million. This decline is part of a larger industry crisis that has been ongoing, resulting in an expected stagnation in domestic pork production this year. The situation is further complicated by the loss of 2.5% in industrial livestock, which now makes up 64% of the total pig population in the country.
