They express concern over the proposed reduction in aid for the organic sector, which could lead to a 20% decrease in conversion aid and a 30% decrease in aid for those already certified as ecological. The union insists that the sector needs a sufficient budget not only for organic farming and livestock aid but also for rural development interventions like environmental and climate commitments, research, innovation, and technology transfer. They also request advisement for ecological farmers, better public certification resources, and promotion of organic products. Additionally, they propose alternatives like tax reductions and social security contribution adjustments to offset the higher costs of ecological agricultural production.
