Unsweetened life: The price of honey has changed in Kazakhstan

In August 2024, honey prices in Kazakhstan increased by 1.2% compared to the previous month and by 10.4% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the Kazinform agency with reference to energyprom.kz. In monthly dynamics, price increases were noted in 7 of the 20 regions of the country. The most noticeable price increases were in the North Kazakhstan (by 4%), Turkestan (by 3.8%) and East Kazakhstan (by 3.4%) regions. In the West Kazakhstan region, honey, on the contrary, fell in price by 1.5%. In the remaining 12 regions of the country, honey prices remained at the level of last year. In annual dynamics, the largest increase in price — by a significant 31.9% — was recorded in the Turkestan region. Next are North Kazakhstan (by 19.2%) and Zhetysu (by 15.4%) regions, Astana (by 13.2%) and Shymkent (by 12.6%).
