In 2022, U.S. broiler exports reached all-time highs in both volume and value, with significant record-breaking growth in exports to the Philippines, Congo (Brazzaville), Gambia, Mauritania, Benin, and Guinea, as well as to China and Taiwan. Overall, broiler exports increased by 4.6 percent to 3,792,380 metric tons, and their export value rose by 17.0 percent to $5.218 billion. However, U.S. turkey exports experienced a decline, with a 25.6 percent drop in volume and a 3.6 percent decrease in value due to HPAI detections in major production states. U.S. turkey production also saw a decrease of 6.1 percent. Additionally, total U.S. egg exports fell by 52.0 percent in volume and 14.4 percent in value.
