The average prices for chicken cuttings have decreased for most items except for minced meat and chicken legs. China, South Africa, and the Dominican Republic have maintained bans on importing poultry from states that have reported cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza. Mexico has largely lifted trade bans, but certain shipments from specific states remain blocked. The U.S. Poultry and Egg Export Board estimates that the export losses from the outbreak are at $895 million.
