The USDA's June report projects a 4.2% increase in global coffee production in 2024/25, reaching 176.235 million 60-kilo bags, with Brazil as the main contributor. Globally, consumption is also expected to rise by 1.8% to 170.634 million bags, resulting in a surplus of 5.601 million bags. However, a decrease in the conilon harvest in Brazil is expected to result in a downward correction in the harvest estimate, potentially leading to higher prices. The Arabica harvest is also ahead of previous periods, with 35% already harvested.
