The US dairy industry has faced challenges such as supply chain disruptions leading to milk dumping during the pandemic. In support of National Dairy Month, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has introduced the Organic Dairy Marketing Assistance Program (ODMAP), providing $104 million to organic dairy operations for marketing costs, open from May 24 to July 26, 2023. Additionally, the USDA has been funding the Dairy Business Innovation (DBI) Initiatives since 2019, aiding dairy businesses in product development and distribution.
