The Directorate General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade in Indonesia, in collaboration with the Industry Office of North Sulawesi, has successfully exported 15 tons of fishery and agricultural products to Japan, valued at USD 90 thousand. This initiative, part of a larger plan to reach 1,000 tons of exports to Japan by 2022, is facilitated by Garuda Indonesia's direct flight route from Samratulangi Airport to Narita Airport. The Ministry of Trade is committed to enhancing exports through various strategies, including promotional activities, capacity building, and market exploration. A collaborative webinar with the Japan External Trade Organization was also held to discuss potential fishery exports to Japan, focusing on North Sulawesi's strengths in these products. These efforts aim to improve the regional economy and increase the value of Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports.
