The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has committed to supporting Uzbekistan with a loan of $150 million and a grant of $3 million to enhance the country's land and water management systems, with the aim of boosting agricultural productivity and improving food and water security. This initiative, part of the Climate Change Adaptive Water Resources Management in the Aral Sea Basin Sector project, will focus on modernizing irrigation and drainage systems, and will provide training in advanced water management practices. Additionally, the ADB has offered a $300,000 grant from its High Technology Fund and a technical assistance grant of $850 thousand to support the implementation of the National Strategy for Water Resources Management and Irrigation.
