The Van Don Marine Aquaculture Association in Vietnam is working to enhance the seafood industry by adding value to products and meeting international standards. To achieve this, the association is partnering with the Department of Fisheries and Fishing Ports of Miyagi province in Japan. The collaboration aims at importing advanced technology, developing sea farming at sea, and increasing labor productivity. The association also plans to develop the production area for Miyagi oysters, abalone, sea fish, and seaweed in Van Don, and exchange trainees and workers in oyster farming and processing between Vietnam and Japan.
