By early 2026, most farmers had completed stocking for the first crop, with total farming area reaching over 1,347 hectares (more than 53% of the annual plan) and output exceeding 409 tons. However, production costs are rising rapidly. Fluctuations in fuel prices have pushed up operating expenses, while aquafeed—accounting for more than half of total shrimp farming costs—has continued to increase since the beginning of 2026. Other inputs such as pond liners, aerators, minerals, and probiotics have also become more expensive, further driving up overall costs.
