Vegetable harvest in Russia increased by more than 20%

From the beginning of the current year to August 28, the harvest of open-ground vegetable crops in Russia in the so-called "organized sector" increased by 21.1 percent compared to the same period last year - up to 1.3 million tons. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. The harvest of greenhouse vegetables was also close in terms of the indicator. They were collected 1.1 million tons, or one percent higher than last year. Of these, most were cucumbers - 604.1 thousand tons. The harvest of tomatoes amounted to 450.2 thousand.
