Venezuela has secured a trading protocol with China, set to begin in 2025, allowing the country to export wild-caught and farmed species to the world's largest seafood importer. The agreement permits only 15 countries, including Venezuela, to export a variety of species such as shrimp, jellyfish, and croaker. The export privileges will be held by over 50 private and publicly owned Venezuelan companies. This agreement comes after similar arrangements made by China with several African markets.
