Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Staff Expert of the Minister for Digital Transformation & Inter-Agency Relations at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investments Affairs, Bara Krishna Hasibuan conveyed the government's optimism in promoting the expansion of national food self-sufficiency. Following rice self-sufficiency, the government is pursuing strategic food production including soybeans which still rely on import supplies. In addition, the government is enhancing the food supply chain including the distribution of fertilizers and food raw materials such as sulfur which has been disrupted due to the war. Regarding changes in weather and climate affecting local food production, the government is also anticipating and coordinating to maintain food production.
