The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia has organized the Vietnam Dragon Fruit Week in Australia from July 21 to July 27, and extended it until August 10, 2021, in response to the Covid-19 lockdowns in Australian cities. The event aims to promote the consumption of Vietnamese dragon fruit in Australia, particularly among the young generation, and to build a sustainable brand. The week includes a dragon fruit trial stall at Paddington primary school in Sydney and a lucky draw for those who purchase Vietnamese dragon fruit. In 2020, Vietnam's dragon fruit exports to Australia saw a 36% growth compared to 2019, reaching US$ 4.18 million, and the first half of 2021 has seen stable exports with good prices.
