In 2021, Vietnam's cashew industry has 2 records, the largest import record ever and the record imported from Cambodia with over 1 million tons of cashew nuts. At the recent congress of the Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS), Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Vice President of VINACAS, said that in 2021, Vietnam will continue to maintain the number 1 position in the world in terms of cashew kernel exports, accounting for 80 % of total cashew kernel exports of the world. Accordingly, in 2021, Vietnam will export 609,260 tons of cashew kernels with a total turnover of 3.75 billion USD, up 16.81% compared to 2020. Currently, Vietnamese cashews account for 90% of the market share in the US and China, 80% of the market share in the Netherlands and 60% of the market share in Germany.
