Vietnam: Status of livestock production during the first 9 months of 2022

Vietnam has seen a significant increase in its agricultural livestock in the past year, with the total number of pigs rising by 13.6%, poultry by 5.2%, and cows by 3.3%. The first three quarters of the year saw a 5.8% increase in pig production for slaughter, reaching 3,232.7 thousand tons. Beef production rose by 4.2% to 348.0 thousand tons, while poultry production increased by 4.8% to 1,467.1 thousand tons in the same period. These figures were reported by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam on November 9, 2022.
