Vietnamese seafood exports to the US have significantly increased in recent years, particularly in shrimp, pangasius, and tuna. These three industries account for more than 80% of seafood export turnover to the US. However, in the first half of 2023, there has been a decrease in exports due to general difficulties in the world market and US importers' inventories slowing down market imports. Despite this, the US remains a crucial partner for Vietnamese seafood, as it is both a key import market and a source of important seafood products for Vietnam.
