Despite the progress, the per capita milk consumption in Vietnam remains lower than that of Thailand, Singapore, and European countries. The National Institute of Nutrition has identified high rates of malnutrition and micronutrient deficiency among Vietnamese children, underscoring the importance of milk and dairy products as a source of nutrition. The Vietnam Dairy Association anticipates continued growth in milk production, with estimates showing a 2.7% increase in liquid milk production and a 6.3% increase in powdered milk production in 2022. The industry is also embracing sustainable practices, including green production and consumption, and plans to host the 4th International Exhibition of Dairy Industry and Dairy Products in 2024.
