Vietnam has experienced a 19% increase in exports of frozen tuna meat/loin products in the first eight months of 2024, peaking at over $51 million in August. The majority of these exports are coded as HS0304 and are exported to over 70 markets worldwide, with the United States, European Union, Russia, Canada, and Israel being the top five importers. Exports to the US and EU markets have seen growth, particularly to the Netherlands, despite challenges such as increasing transportation costs due to tension in the Red Sea. Russia has also emerged as a significant market, showing an 80% increase in imports of these products, making it the second largest importer after the US.
