VII Latin American Avocado Congress recognizes outstanding leaders of Peruvian agriculture

Yesterday, November 17, the VII Latin American Avocado Congress 2025 was inaugurated, where distinguished leaders of the Peruvian agricultural sector were recognized, including union leaders, entrepreneurs, and former ministers of agriculture who contributed to the positioning of the Hass avocado as one of the star products of national agro-export. The recognition was made to the former presidents of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Hass Avocados of Peru (ProHass), as well as to former ministers of agriculture who had a decisive role in the growth of the sector. The honored former presidents of ProHass were Bruno Carlini Chiappe (1999-2004), the first president of ProHass, producer of avocados and citrus fruits in the Santa Rosa Irrigation, Huaura, Lima; Enrique Camet Piccone (2004-2010), producer and exporter of avocados in various regions of the country and promoter of the cultivation of the Hass avocado in the high Andean region; and Jimmy Bosworth Crovetto ...
