Vodka production in Russia from January to May 2025 decreased by 13.2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 25 million decaliters (dal), while champagne production increased by 17.8%, to 6.01 million dal, according to Rosalkogoltabakkontrol data. Grape wine production also increased by 10.4%, to 14.7 million dal. Production of all other alcohol categories declined, with overall alcohol production in Russia from January to May 2025 dropping by 20.4% to 59.96 million dal. Production of spirits with an alcohol content above 9% fell by 12.1%, to 37.41 million dal, while low-alcohol beverage production decreased by 92.9%, to 599.7 thousand dal.
