Russia: Vologda farmers and agricultural organizations harvested almost a quarter more potatoes than last year

Potato yield increased by 18.9%, which made it possible to accumulate 92.4 thousand tons Farmers of the Vologda region have completed the harvesting campaign. According to the materials of the regional department of agriculture and food resources, by November 28, 210.3 thousand tons of grain were threshed in the region (hereinafter - in barn weight), which exceeded last year’s level by 18.8%. The average grain yield increased by 17.3%, to 23.5 c/ha. The most harvested in the region was barley - 141.7 thousand tons, wheat - 34.6 thousand tons and oats - 24.3 thousand tons. At the same time, the yield of barley was 23.8 thousand tons / ha, wheat - 21.6 thousand tons /ha, oats - 20.6 c/ha. The gross harvest of peas reached 3.2 thousand tons, grain legumes - 2.9 thousand tons, rye - 2.7 thousand tons, triticale - 0.8 thousand tons.
