Brazilian ports had 114 ships waiting to load sugar, compared to 117 the previous week, with 5.164 million tons of sugar scheduled to be loaded. The majority of sugar, 3.821 million tons, will be loaded through the Port of Santos. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates that global sugar production will grow to 183.461 million tons in the 2023/24 season, resulting in a supply surplus of 5.03 million tons.
