Wahyu Sakti Trengono hopes BPBAP Ujung Batee can boost national shrimp production in Indonesia

Minister Trenggono continued his working visit in Aceh by reviewing the Ujung Batee Cultivation Fisheries Center (BPBAP), which is a fisheries center under the Directorate General of Aquaculture. Minister Trenggono expressed his support for the sustainable aquaculture program in Aceh. Accompanied by the Director General of Aquaculture, Tb Haeru Rahayu, Minister Trenggono ensured that the innovations carried out at the Aceh KP Polytechnic could also support activities at BPBAP Ujung Batee, including the vaname shrimp hatchery and to protect local Indonesian commodities, namely tiger prawn cultivation which has potential big in Aceh. The production capacity of tiger prawns is 50 million heads per year, while for vaname shrimp seeds it is 180 million heads per year.
