Baojia Town in Chongqing City, China, has revitalized its ailing tea industry by introducing the Anji white tea industry from Zhejiang Province in 2017. The initiative, which has led to the cultivation of 5,079 mu of white tea, has not only breathed new life into barren hills but also provided a significant source of income for local villagers. The town has adopted a unique business model and has seen a substantial improvement in the economy of the village collective. By 2023, the town anticipates a high-yield period from the tea industry, with an expected output value nearing 100 million yuan, leading to increased income for villagers and a stronger village collective economy.
