Representatives of Wanglin Group (a global leader in garlic production) discussed the possibility of launching deep processing of garlic in the Turkestan region during a meeting in China with a Kazakh delegation led by Turkestan region akim Nurkhan Kusherov, EastFruit reports.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed joint projects for garlic cultivation and processing. The international company shared its experience and highly appreciated the agro-climatic conditions of the Turkestan region. The parties discussed investments, the construction of modern processing plants, and the development of export logistics.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to work together on creating an agro-industrial cluster in the Turkestan region, increasing garlic cultivation volumes, concluding long-term contracts with farmers, and exporting finished products abroad, the source noted.
