The World Avocado Association (WAO) has initiated a second year of educational campaigns in India to promote the health benefits of avocados and how to incorporate them into local cuisine. The 2024 campaign is primarily funded by avocado growers in South Africa, who recently gained access to the Indian market, indicating a shift in export focus from Europe and the UK. The WAO is optimistic about the potential growth in avocado consumption in India, given the fruit's increasing popularity worldwide.
