The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining Ghana’s reputation as a global producer of premium-quality cocoa, amid concerns raised in a recent publication about potential risks to the safety of the country’s cocoa beans. In a rejoinder to the article titled “Ghana’s Cocoa at Risk: How Lindt’s Lead Scandal Could Spell Disaster for Ghana’s Cocoa,” published in The High Street Journal, COCOBOD expressed concern about the inaccuracies in the report, emphasizing its potential to harm the industry and tarnish Ghana’s global reputation. “COCOBOD remains committed to ensuring that Ghana’s cocoa meets and exceeds the highest international standards.
