West Azarbaijan province in Iran was the main contributor of the country's apple exports, accounting for 60% of the total, with 885,000 tons worth $327 million exported in the past year. The top buyers were Iraq, Russia, Afghanistan, India, and the UAE. Non-oil exports, excluding oil, reached 112 million tons valued at $34.5 billion, with China, Iraq, UAE, Turkey, and Afghanistan being the top buyers. Non-oil exports included food and agricultural products, which accounted for 7.7% of the country's weight of exports but over 17.6% of the total value of exports.
