The International Crops Research for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank, Lives and Livelihoods Fund, and the state’s Agro Pastoral Development Project, organized a pre-season seed and input fair for farmers. The event, aimed at providing quality seeds and agro-inputs to ensure a good harvest, saw participation from companies like Modern Agriculture and Allied Services, which offered drought-resistant and early-yielding seeds, and Techni Seeds, which presented climate-smart, vitamin-fortified seeds. ICRISAT's Country Representative, Dr Angarawai Ignatius, highlighted the importance of good seeds and agro-inputs for a good harvest, and stressed the need for farmers to embrace climate-smart seeds. Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, pledged the state's support in improving farmers' production capacity.
