Every two years, the traditional Agritechnica agricultural technology fair is held in the city of Hannover, in northern Germany. There, innovations and developments from different corners of the world come together, which is why this fair is often referred to as "the mecca of agricultural machinery." This year, it is being held until November 15 and promises to surpass all records. But the story of Agritechnica does not begin in Hannover, but in the long tradition of fairs and technical events that sprouted in Germany at the end of the 19th century. The organization that drives it, the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG) or German Agricultural Society, was founded in 1885 by engineer and writer Max Eyth.
