Anhui province in China has seen significant investment in rice farming and fishery, particularly in the cultivation of crayfish and lobsters, with the industry experiencing rapid growth and providing a substantial income for farmers. The province has expanded its comprehensive cultivation of rice and fishery from 1.6 million mu in 2018 to nearly 4 million mu, ranking third in the country. Despite facing challenges such as high risks and fluctuating prices, especially due to the epidemic, the industry remains optimistic with the support of local governments and the inclusion of lobster processing enterprises in the "five batches" project. The processing of lobsters into products for both domestic and international markets is expected to strengthen the industry's competitiveness. The article also highlights the challenges faced by the industry, including the lack of development in the processing industry, disorganized market systems, and slow growth in logistics and distribution.
