Abkhazia has started exporting tangerines to Russia earlier than usual, with 120 tons delivered by early October, and this year's harvest is expected to be around 37 thousand tons. Despite previous import decreases due to a low harvest, Russia continues to source tangerines primarily from Turkey, with increased imports from Egypt and China, while imports from Morocco have decreased due to sanctions. Retail chains report no supply disruptions, and wholesale prices have decreased by 10% compared to last year. Tangerine prices, starting at 169 rubles per kg, are not expected to rise sharply before the New Year due to long-term contracts, and traditionally decrease by 20-25% by winter as imports shift from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere, reducing transportation costs.
