Argentina has removed several products from its Maximum Price program, which was implemented in response to the Covid-19 pandemic to limit price increases on essential items. The products removed include soda, beer, herb, toilet paper, and kitchen rolls, among others. Despite the program's goal of capping price increases at 5% per time, the prices of food and beverages have still rised by 36.1% between January and November, exceeding the overall inflation rate of 30.9%. This rise in prices is impacting the purchasing power of wages.
