Wheat prices in the Brazilian market remained stable throughout the week of December 12 to 18, according to an analysis by the International Center for Economic Analysis and Agricultural Market Studies (Ceema), released on Thursday (18). In Rio Grande do Sul, the main markets continued to trade the cereal between R$ 54.00 and R$ 55.00 per bag, while in Paraná the values ranged from R$ 64.00 to R$ 66.00. In the same period last year, wheat from Rio Grande do Sul was being traded between R$ 65.00 and R$ 66.00, and from Paraná, around R$ 72.00 per bag. The international scenario continues to put pressure on prices. Ceema points to a trend of ample availability of wheat in the global market for the 2025/26 crop, which hinders upward movements in external prices.
