Wheat imports in Brazil increase due to low supply and search for quality

In a scenario of scarcity of quality wheat in the Brazilian domestic market, cereal imports are gaining prominence. Until the third week of February, national purchases of the product reached 383.95 thousand tons, surpassing the 291.63 thousand tons recorded in the entire month of February of the previous year, according to data from Secex.´ Cepea experts note that, even with many mills supplied, active buyers in the spot market are looking for higher quality wheat.
