Wheat prices in the Brazilian market have experienced a significant increase, with accumulated valuations nearly reaching 2%. The highest market prices in São Paulo since May 2020 and in other regions since April 2021. This increase in wheat prices is attributed to lower market liquidity, increased demand for wheat derivatives like wheat bran due to drought and high corn prices. The reference price in Rio Grande do Sul rose by 1.21% in just one month, reaching R$ 1,682.53 per ton, while the price in Paraná increased by 1.96%, setting the tone for a potential further increase in wheat prices in the future.
