The cost of mayonnaise in Siberia has seen a significant increase, rising by 26.4% to 228 rubles per kilogram in 2021, according to regional statistics bodies. This reflects a national trend, with the average price of mayonnaise increasing by 26.3% to 243.6 rubles per kilogram. The most expensive mayonnaise can be found in the Republic of Altai, priced at 272.2 rubles per kilogram, while the cheapest is in Tuva, at 196.8 rubles per kilogram. The Altai Territory experienced the highest annual increase in mayonnaise prices (40.9%). Inflation rates vary across different regions, with the Irkutsk region seeing a more modest 15% increase. Over the past decade, the price of mayonnaise has risen several fold, from about 99 rubles per kilogram in 2011.
