A report by the WAPA Association reveals that as of December 1, 2022, Polish cold stores were holding 1,420,000 tons of apples, which is a decrease of 275,000 tons compared to the previous year. The largest stocks of apples in the European Union were 4,480,438 tonnes, a decrease from 4,902,786 tonnes in 2021. The Red Jonaprince variety was the most prevalent in Polish cold stores with 270,000 tonnes, followed by Idreda and Golden Delicious.
