Producer prices for first and second category chicken eggs in Russia as of November 12, 2025, are lower than last year, despite the seasonal increase in their cost, officials at the Ministry of Agriculture informed journalists.
"As of November 12, first category eggs from producers average 63.1 rubles per dozen, and second category eggs average 47.4 rubles per dozen. Despite the traditional seasonal increase in egg prices during this period, prices are currently lower than a year ago, by 19.1% and 25.5% respectively," the statement reads.
The ministry also reported that since the beginning of this year, there has been an increase in poultry production in Russia. Thus, over nine months of 2025, agricultural organizations produced over 30 billion chicken eggs, which is 6.5% higher than the same period last year.
