The article highlights a decrease in the prices of frozen fish in the Russian wholesale market from 12 to 18 July. The decline is attributed to an excess supply and reduced demand, particularly in the Far East for pollock and Pacific herring, which saw price drops of 2.7% and 5.6% respectively. Additionally, fresh salmon fish prices have been established with pink salmon costing 275 rubles per kg and chum salmon 200 rubles per kg. The North-West region also experienced price drops for cod and Atlantic mackerel by 4.4% and 8.1% respectively, due to decreased demand from processors and the consumer market. While some prices, such as mackerel in the central regions, decreased, many other frozen fish prices remained stable.
