The article highlights the challenges faced by fruit growers in Bulgaria, including increased costs and difficult market conditions. Despite higher production figures for several crops, such as plums, raspberries, pears, apples, and peaches, and larger harvested areas, the market crashes due to abundant production in southern neighbors. The apricot crop suffered the most with a significant decrease in average yield and market problems. However, most main fruits and vegetables in the country are available at higher average wholesale prices this year, except for peaches and apples.
