Will grain producers make a profit this year?

The autumn harvest has concluded across the country, with wheat production amounting to 7,318,049 tons according to operational data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF). For all major autumn crops, there has been an increase in harvested areas and average yields per hectare compared to the previous year 2024, leading to a rise in the quantities produced, with wheat production up by 8.3%, commented in response to a parliamentary question by Agriculture and Food Minister Georgi Tahov.
