The Ministry of Agriculture in Argentina has distributed 18,383.8 tons of beef cuts for export to the US, primarily to large processing companies such as Swift (Minerva), Quickfood (Marfrig), and Arrebeef. Some allocations were also made for joint projects. The government has also established a 'Free Availability Fund' of 1,616.1 tons, with a significant portion earmarked for the industry. Producers for the US export under the zero-tariff quota have been selected and have a 30-day period to confirm or correct the list of participants. The government's aim is to promote high-value exports and limit participation to skilled operators.
