Winter 2025: What to Expect from the Season?

Winter in the Southern Hemisphere began last Friday (20th) at 11:42 PM and will extend until September 22nd at 3:19 PM, Brasília time. According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), the season is marked by the least rainy period in the Southeast, Central-West, and parts of the North and Northeast regions. The highest precipitation volumes are expected to occur in the northwest of the North Region, in the east of the Northeast Region, and in part of the South Region. In addition to reduced solar radiation, winter is characterized by incursions of cold air masses coming from the southern part of the continent. These masses cause temperature drops, with averages below 22°C in the eastern parts of the South and Southeast regions.
