The citrus harvest in Rio Grande do Sul is expected to reach 450,000 tons in 2024, according to a survey by Emater/RS-Ascar. The volume represents a 15.4% increase compared to the previous year, which was marked by heavy rains in May 2024. The production involves more than ten thousand families and covers approximately 25,000 hectares in the state, with emphasis on bergamots, oranges, and lemons.
