We continue to monitor the development of local and international stock exchanges and markets. Here, the latest data from the National Statistical Institute reflect the real picture, which is unequivocal – a decline in the value of final agricultural production, by 8% per year. Specifically in crop production, the decline is nearly 10% on an annual basis and is explained by experts both by a drop in prices (nearly 5%) and by a drop in production output (3.5% per year). However, unsurprisingly, it is the grain production that has added the most value to the total agricultural production. I draw attention to this fact, not because it is little known, but because it is often unfairly overlooked.
