As part of the actions for the prevention and protection of agricultural health in Peru, the Canine Brigade of the National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa), made up of ten highly trained dogs, carries out an essential task in the international hall of the new Jorge Chávez Airport. These specialized dogs can detect more than 100 types of odors associated with foods, plants, or animal products that are not allowed, preventing the entry of pests and diseases that would put agriculture, livestock, and food safety at risk.
