On May 20th, World Bee Day, the United Nations General Assembly decided in 2017 to celebrate the contribution of pollinators in maintaining ecosystem balance, while also highlighting the threats they face, starting with climate change.
A sector as important as it is in crisis, especially – but not only – due to climate conditions. We are talking about the beekeeping sector, which is celebrated today. Bees, and all so-called "pollinators" (butterflies, hummingbirds, even bats) are fundamental elements within the natural mechanisms that regulate the ecosystem, starting with the fact that through their activity, they enable many plants to reproduce, including numerous food crops.
